In Magiterráneo the flamenco guitarist Daniel Casares sets sail on a new journey alongside a select crew: the violin of Nelson Doblas, the percussion of Miguel Ortiz “Nene”, Jesús Bachiller on the bass and the accompaniment of the singers Manuel Peralta and Kiko Peña as well as the precious tap-dancing of Sergio Aranda.
A show that, as in Ithaca, the poem of Kavafis, what matters is not the place you leave or the port you arrive to, but all the experience, emotion and knowledge that you bring along with you. After an impeccable career that is on the way to the Olympus of the greatest flamenco guitarists, Daniel Casares now returns to the South where the Mediterranean is once again his deity and the poetic magic that inspires him.
Beautiful melodies that bring us the perfume and the essence of the lands where olive trees and laurels grow best. The joy of the palms, a carousel of arpeggios capable of taming the fiercest Poseidon, bulerías in amber and ebony, pearl oysters and a chorale of tangos and other diverse palos make up a repertoire woven with voluptuous notes and delicious nuances whose only intention is to leave us stranded for a long time in a happy and calm sea.
