The work of Maestro Rodrigo who traveled into space with Neil Armstrong 50 years ago, is now edited with Daniel Casares’ original work, “La Luna de Alejandra”

The last work of Daniel Casares “Concierto de Aranjuez – La luna de Alejandra”. Recorded together with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Arturo Díez Boscovich, includes the universal piece of maestro Rodrigo, “El concierto de Aranjuez”, and the first symphonic work for guitar and orchestra signed by Casares himself, “La luna de Alejandra”.

This release lead with the beginning of a year of important commemorations for the work of Maestro Rodrigo: 2019 marks the 80th anniversary of the composition of the Concert and the 20th anniversary of the loss of its author. In addition, this new year commemorates half a century since man set foot on the moon and curiously Neil Armstrong took the music scores of “El Concierto de Aranjuez” on its space journey.
